I Corinthians 13:6

“does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the trut
This verse really speaks to me. When you love someone, you won’t want to do the things that hurt, even if it profits the both of you. Love is something that is hard to do, and it rejoices in doing things right. We can’t be finding pleasure in doing things that are wrong. It’s not love to gossip together, it’s not love to sneak out, it’s not love to tell someone that what they’re doing is okay.
To love we need to stand on what is right, even if it means not doing what everyone else wants to. There is no “tolerance” here. To love others, we don’t just let each other fall into sin. Loving someone isn’t jumping in a pit with them (let alone pushing them in), it’s holding a hand out to lift them up.
Today I will stop before I allow others to gossip with me, and will think before I speak words about another person.
