I Corinthians 12:11

“But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.”
I see “as He wills” in big neon lights in this verse. It may just be because God has been pointing out his providence to me a lot over the past four weeks, but God has a will that he won’t conform. As a man I once knew used to say, “We only see the parade through a hole in the fence, but God’s in the Goodyear Blimp high above.” He can see the beginning and the end of the parade and is the one calling the shots from on high.
He gives and takes away, and his will distributes to each one as He wills. He knows what we can use better than others and he knows everything that we do, say, and think. God orchestrates the old woman sitting next to you on the bus, the man next to you in line, the cashier behind the register and who you meet and when.
While it may not make sense to you right now – God’s providential plan is so evident in everyone’s lives. No matter how little it is – THERE ARE NO COINCIDENCES WITH GOD.
Again and again, the Lord shows me that I need to give up my troubles and the weight I carry to Him. He tells me that he has it under control, and there’s no need to wonder why things are happening or have happened. It’s because He’s the Director. Today, I will pray for the Lord to give me the peace to go through the day without worry, knowing he will lift me up when I fall.
